From March 25th-27th 10 lacemakers gathered for a Milanese Lace workshop with Louise Colgan in Tryon, NC.

Attendees joined from as near as North and South Carolina and as far away as New York State!

The class worked on a variety of projects, with 2 main groups working on Louise’ Sunflower and Celtic Cross patterns (photos provided by Louise Colgan).

In all, 5 projects were being worked simultaneously, with Louise flitting back and forth to provide instruction to each individual or group as needed.

Louise has visited the Tryon Lacers for the last 3 years to teach Milanese Lace, and plans for a class in the Spring of 2027 are in the works. If you are interested in attending Louise Colgan’s class next spring, please reach out to Jane Armstrong or Karen Douglas for more information.
